Peach tree help?
Like roses, peaches are grafted onto a vigorous rootstock. The shoots you see emerging are from the rootstock which could be anything. They are known on roses as suckers. So sorry old thing, your tree is dead.
Reply:i had the exact same problem it just wouldnt bud or grow but mine didf%26#039;nt have any leaves on the bottom my guess was it was too cold or termites cause there were some around but was no notice on the tree i do not think that i can help axcept fertilizer to make it grow faster hope it works
Reply:It sounds like the rootstock is sprouting and the tree is dead or dying. Most peaches are grafted and, for whatever reason, be it physiological or pest/disease the grafted top has died.

If you let the graft grow then it will be not be the same as the original tree.
Reply:its the weather its gone Topsy tuvry it will sort its self out not to worry i have noticed that my peony tree is in bud when really it shouldn%26#039;t be until may its the weather its not keeping to the sequences of the seasons.
Reply:Did you know that in the Village of Aynho in Oxfordshire most of the houses have peach trees attached to them?
Reply:Good job it isn%26#039;t otherwise the frost would have had it.
