Great food and great atmosphere. Last time I was there, I nearly had to be wheeled outta there on a gurney.
Reply:I am from Atlanta and grew up eating all flavors of cobbler. Besides my mom%26#039;s there is a restaurant called Mary Mac%26#039;s in downtown Atlanta area. Many of the bar-b-que restaurants feature a flavored cobbler each day of the week and most are pretty good. There is also S%26amp;S Cafeterias that will serve peach.
You have to remember that the better Georgia peaches, called Alberta%26#039;s, are shipped to the Northeast states. You have to go to the packing farms in middle and south Georgia that allow you to take from the conveyor belts what you want. They are only in season from mid-July to the first part of August, too late now, and are the sweetest Georgia grows.
The best peach cobbler%26#039;s are made with Alberta%26#039;s. When you call or go to a restaurant just ask if they are Alberta peaches in the cobbler. These are the very best we have for cobbler. It is also easy to make a good cobbler of any flavor at home.
