What mtaches with peach?

We just tiled the floor and the shower walls and we are getting ready to paint but i just can find a color that matches the light nad dark peach details in it.


The shower curtain and the towels are black. And the hardware is all crome. The walls are white and that looks fine but i want to add color to the walls; i just dont know what one. =[





Any ideas?

Sea Foam Green goes really good with peach.





Also light Teal or light Turquoise will look great with Peach!

Reply:You have a lot of choices. Find a color wheel, and find shades/ tints that are in the same value as the peach tones. You can go directly across the wheel to find a contrast or on either side of it to find more of a match. If you have anly left over tiles, take them to the home center and pull a lot of paint chips, see what looks best. Then, take your selections home. Look at them for a while in that light before you make a purchase. Off the cuff, greens like sage or basil look nice, or you can do a similar color like pumpkin or sunflower.





Don't know what a color wheel is? Ok, imagine a wheel, you have the 3 primary colors red, yellow and blue. Then between the red and blue you'll see purple. Between red and yellow is orange. And, between yellow and blue is green. So, your peach color will be between the yellow and red; across the wheel would be say, eggplant or on the other side, the greens. Beside will be a shade with more yellow or on the other side the pumpkin or something with more red. As you have the neutrals black and chrome, you can really go any direction you want.
Reply:You could go with a pale, pale shade of the peach. You could look for paint chips with a color that is close to the peach tones in your tile and go with the lightest version. In other words, go for a creamy, ivory with just a hint of the peach.





If you want to keep the black accessories, this would be a good choice. You could also go with a deeper value of the peach, as in a rust or terracotta shade. A dark hue would "close in" your bathroom, so you would have to be very careful.





If you want to stay away from the peach tones, you might try a very light gray - I don't mean a matte, smoky color. I'm thinking a misty tone, almost a silvery or a pearly shade that is subtle and sophisticated.





You can't go wrong with a creamy white with warm undertones.





A neutral color such as a cream, the pale creamy peach (go light on this) or the pearly, silvery color would be good choices.

Reply:You have to be careful to not get too many colors in the same room, particularly if it is a small room.





What I would do is pick a light, pastel color out of the shower curtain and blend it all together. If you don't want to do that, pick different off whites (with a peach cast) and take them home and look at them in the light of the bathroom. When you pick the color swatches that have the off whites, you may find a color, a little darker than just an off white. You know how the color swatches have four or five different colors, of the same shade, that is what I am saying. Start light and go darker, but stay Light.





The reason I picked peach is that is the most of any color in the room. I hope I have helped you.

Reply:"ANTIQUE LACE" it's a Benjamin Moore color, it's a creamy yellowish white, check it out I think it would look great!!!! Good luck Les the painter
Reply:Get rid of the black first. It just doesn't belong especially if your adding another color. Seafoam or mint green goes well or brown.
