Hey you all someone chose peach and navy blue for their wedding colors how would they make those colors work?

This lady I know is planning a wedding for her sister and her sister wants the colors navy blue and peach, I thought it was an odd color choice. So how would she make those colors work together? Do any of you think its an odd color choice?

Hey you all someone chose peach and navy blue for their wedding colors how would they make those colors work?
BOUQUETS/FLOWERS: Peach and whitel flowers w/Navy blue ribbon.

WEDDING DRESS: I've seen alot of bridal gowns now featuring navy accents...peach too! A splash of color can easily be added to an all white gown by adding a sash around the waist. Sapphire jewelry can tie in the Navy color as well if not really wanting to have "color" on the gown.

BM DRESSES: Either solid navy blue (with the peach bouquets) OR white %26amp; peach dresses w/sapphire jewelry.

TABLES: White table cloths w/peach and navy blue runners alternating table to table.

CENTERPIECES: Hurricane vases or other clear vessels. Fill the ones going on the Navy table runners w/peach sand and white candle. Fill the ones going on the peach table runners w/navy sand and white candles. Scatter some CLEAR glass floral marbles around the bases.

CAKE: mainly white icing, navy 'ribbon', peach flowers to match bouquet added.

I think that color combo CAN be pulled off quite nicely...just remember, don't make EVERYTHING ALL Navy and Peach. Having most items TOTALLY solid navy/peach w/no contrast will look like an overkill of color.

If you incorporate a lot of white and use those colors for contrast, you will end up w/a very rich and elegant effect.

If there's anything in particular you need ideas for, please feel free to email me! ;-)

OH---here....

Here are some pics I found, just to give you an idea of the color scheme:

If I come across anymore in this scheme, I'll post it to.
Reply:I think it's lovely, they are complementary colours. Best that the peach be a strong peach, not pale. For example, the bridesmaid's dresses could be peach, with a navy sash.

I would suggest maybe one more colour as an accent, maybe sage?
Reply:Its the first time Ive heard of peach and blue. I think if the peach is a deep peach, and the blue is very dark like midnight blue, it will work.
Reply:i think it's a very strange choice of colour.. i think these options are better if she's wanting the peach or navy:

navy with..

~ powder blue, mid green and sea green

~ dark purple, black and charcoal

~ royal blue, deep burgundy and pale beige

~ periwinkle, dark lavender and grey beige

~ lime green, turquoise and dark 'forest' green

~turquoise, aqua green and lime

peach with..

~ pale yellow, dirty ivory and aqua

~ custard, khaki and white

~ tomato, tobacco and brick

~ pink burgundy, bright pink and beige grey

~ rust, milk chocolate and pink burgundy

~ tobacco, cardinal (purple) and eau de nil

~ hot pink, nectarine (more pinky) and dirty apple

~ nectarine, pale brick and mushroom

~ bubblegum pink, purple and dark green

~ milk chocolate, raspberry pink and orange

~ cream, pale eau de nil and pale dirty pink

(all taken from the book mentioned below)

if she is set on having peach and navy then i suggest:

~ peach bridesmaid dresses or accessories

~ navy mens suits with peach coloured flowers

~ peach ribbons

~ navy balloons

~ navy candles

~ navy coloured jewellery

i think if she's going to have the colours together she should go for a lighter peach and a dark navy

hope this helps xx
Reply:Try using one of those colors as the main color, then add pieces of the other color to that main color
Reply:It's a little odd, but maybe that's why she picked them. She probably wanted something different, and depending on the shade they can go well together. Navy blue and yellow is a very popular combination, so I'm sure peach will work as well. And people will notice how nice and different it is!
Reply:they will compliment each other well, she could have peach roses or peonies and blue delphiniums, that would be beautiful!!
Reply:The bouquet could be Peach Roses with navy blue mini flowers and the tables could have Peach Roses and the table clothe could be navy blue her dress could be Peach and the Future husbands could be navy tux.
Reply:I think you could make any colors work together with alittle creativity.Try using one of those colors as the main color, then add pieces of the other color to that main color. It also depends on fabric, and decorations, what type of things are you trying to put together for those colors? The dresses could be peach and add navy ribbon around the waist, add alittle mot too much of the other color or would look loud.If ya need more advice just ask me and let me know how hings work out.Good luck!!
