Anyone know how to start peach trees from seeds?
Most fruit trees these days are actually two plants grafted together. The root area up to the "flair" (area where the two plants are joined) is called the stock. The part of the tree producing the fruit is called the scion.

Grafting is done to combine the strong root system of a particular variety with the high-yield of fruit produced by another variety.

If you attempt to produce your peach from seed, it wont turn out anything like the one you have now! In fact, the peaches will likely be stunted with disease and rot directly on the stem.

Sorry to be such a bum! You're better off researching a quality variety at a nursery and adding it to your collection.
Reply:The easy way.... plant it. That's all you REALLY have to do. Nature will take its course.
Reply:go to a nursery and get some rooting compound %26amp; follow the directions!

Reply:Dan S is right ... for example if you plant an apple seed you will get a crab apple. MAC
