Will my peach tree bear fruit this year?!?

I planted a peach tree last summer that I bought from Lowe%26#039;s, it%26#039;s about six feet tall. It%26#039;s the beginning of spring time here in Missouri and there are a bunch of pink flowers opening up on my tree...does this mean that my tree will bear fruit this year?

Will my peach tree bear fruit this year?!?
6 feet tall for the second year is very tall.

When this tree goes dormant %26quot;Leaves fall off%26quot; please find a pruner and cut the tops back to an outward growing limb. If you don%26#039;t do this you will need a giraffe to pick the fruit in a few years because the low limbs will die from lack of light.

Yes, You will have a few peaches on your tree this year if it is as large as you say.

When the peaches get to the size of a nickel thin the peaches. Yes, pull some off to about one every 6 inches. Maybe farther apart like a foot for such a young tree.

I hope the bees pollinated the flowers on your tree. Not many bees around here anymore.
Reply:if it is a veriety taht bears fruit, because some dont. do you know what type it is. if it is a fruiting one then it it might fruit this summer
Reply:Most likely, but for the next few years, pick off most of the finished blossoms when the fruit has set (when you see the small round hump or beginnings of the peach appear). Will yield fewer but larger peaches.
