Swallowed a peach pit....?

I accidently swallowed a peach pit and have had stomach pain for the pass 2 days, also today i started vomiting today. I told my parents and my dad said not to worry and it will pass naturally. Is this the case?

Swallowed a peach pit....?
The danger swallowing a peach pit is it lodging in your throat cutting off your air supply. You need to be more careful in the future. Since this did not happen, thank goodness, it will pass naturally. Since it%26#039;s been 2 days the pit has already passed through your stomach on it%26#039;s way out. Oh, just to be on the safe side you could call your local emergency room and speak to the nurse on call for verification since I%26#039;m not a doctor. I do know the reason there is a hard covering over the center of the pit is because in the middle there is a seed which is bad for you and this hard covering protects mostly animals who tend to swallow the pit from time to time. You also have something in common with Harry S. Truman. He almost choked to death by swallowing a peach pit, but his mother forced it down his throat with her fingers. True story! Another tidbit: Peach kernels are not to be used by pregnant women. Because of its amygdalin contect, this herb is toxic. When digested, cyanide is created. The human body can process small amounts of cyanide over a period (2-2.5 hours). For children under five years of age, 5-10 kernels are sufficient to cause side effects; 20 kernels can be lethal but 1 kernel will not cause an adult any cyanide side affects.
Reply:Your parent is probably right, there is nothing you can do. Your stomach is doing whatever it can to use acid to desolve the pit.
Reply:I would call my dr maybe to get an xray or something, that just doesn%26#039;t sound right.........
Reply:It *might*....but that sounds kind of creepy to me., especially if it was a large pit. It would have to pass through your small intestine first, and it%26#039;s kind of rough (textured -- could it be blocking at the bottom of your stomach?)

When I%26#039;m not sure about something, I call my doc or the emergency room at the hospital and ask to speak to a nurse.

ER nurses have seen a lot of crazy stuff, and can help you decide if you need to be checked out. If you keep on vomiting, I wouldn%26#039;t put it off.
