Your trees have %26quot;peach leaf curl%26quot;. It%26#039;s a fungus type disease and you can%26#039;t control it until next fall. I garden using only those type controls ok with organic standards.

I have had trees with this disease, and you will probably still get a nice crop of peaches, but the tree itself will look awful, and may even lose a lot of the curled leaves.

There are 2 choices on sprays. One is %26quot;lime-sulphur%26quot;, the other is %26quot;bordeaux%26quot;. Both are ok for an %26quot;organic%26quot; garden, but you want to keep your kids inside on the day you spray.

You need to read the directions on the bottle, mix the stuff up and apply it once a month, come fall. You need to give the trees at least 2 applications, but 3 or even 4 is better. The stuff has to applied BEFORE any blossoms or leaves come out in the spring. As soon as your trees lose their leaves in the fall is when to apply it.

You must rake up ALL fallen leaves in the fall, and be sure to remove any mummy fruits from the trees. Take these infected leaves and put them in the trash.

Every fall you want to spray for peach leaf curl. It may take 2 years to control it.

When I apply this spray, I often add to the mix some horticultural oil. The oil will smother overwinter insects and egg cases.

Hope this helps.

Reply:there is a fungal disease called %26quot;peach tree curl%26quot;. I believe there is a fungicide but I think it is preventative not curative.
