I'm moving. Bought a weeping dwarf peach tree last year. Want to transplant it to our new house. I live in southern Kansas. The tree already has buds on it. Is it safe to move?

make sure you get all of the root ball wraped in something that will keep it intact. put it in a well prepard hole with a small bit of time release fertillizer.if the tree does not flower this year ,you will have it in your new yard for next year.

Reply:How big is it? Long long has it been in it's spot? How long do you have to deal with the moving of it?
All these are factors. The smaller the tree, the shorter the time it's been in the ground, all mean a lower risk.
Transplanting when it's still dormant is best, and if it's only got buds, not leaves, you may be okay.
Spade straight down into the ground all around the trunk, in a circle big enough to get most of the root ball. As big as you think you can manage. Water. Wait 2-3 days, then spade again, trying to go a little deeper, and angling under the root ball toward the trunk as you go around. (again, the bigger the rootball you can manage, the better). Water. Wait 2-3 days. Then continue, removing the tree from the hole, move to its new location, plant, water well. And continue to water deeply once a week if there is no rain.
If the tree has put out leaves - the recommended way to move it and have the best shot at success it to strip off the leaves completely before you move it. It would pain me to do it - but it usually works. The reason trees die in moves is usually shock due to the water loss from having its roots cut. You can reduce the shock by reducing the water loss. Trees lose a lot of water through their leaves, and by removing them, the tree will be able to stay more hydrated. A tree can survive a complete de-foliation in one season without much ill effect. It will grow new leaves.

Having grown peaches commercially for many years, I looked at several websites to see which might be most helpful for you and found the following and posted them below. They have great information about pruning tips, fertilization programs as well as providing fungicide and insecticide control.
Not sure where you live but one of the most important diseases you have to avoid is "Peach Leaf Curl". This disease overwinters in the bark of peach trees and attacks young leaves and fruit soon after they emerge. In some cases, it can cause complete defoliation of the tree and all of your fruit will be lost. To prevent this from happening, you should spray a copper-based fungicide several times before trees begin to bloom. You can find this fungicide in most home %26amp; garden shops.
Try to keep your tree properly fertilized and watered throughout the growing season.

Reply:Trimming: trim them in late fall - early winter. trim them so that you create as much horizontal wood as possible. Your goal is to get as much fruit out in the sun as possible. your local extension agent should have a manual on this.
Spraying: you must spray peach trees with an insecticide and a fungicide every two-three weeks. It is best if you use 2 different insecticides and 2 different fungicides and alternate them so the fungi and insects don't get used to them. DO NOT spray when the tree is in bloom or you will kill the good insects who are helping you with pollination. In the fall, spray the trees with a dormant oil.
Pollination: you will have better fruit crops if you have at least two different varieties of peach tree. Trees within the same variety do not pollinate each other vary well.
Thinning: always thin the fruit so that there is not too much weight on each branch and so they do not touch each other.

When I'm wearing peach I normally pick a girly and feminine peach and black silk-with black lace top and pair it with something cute, but something that offsets the girliness; like a gold chunky chain necklace and then I go with sexy high-heels and a navy denim miniskirt with black tights.

Dropping Colour oddity on a Peach-faced Loveird?
My peach-faced lovebird whose about 9 months old has been leaving brown-green droppings instead of his usual green droppings. He's been getting alot more vegetables and rice lately, is it a diet change thats affecting his stool or something I should be concerned with?

Droppings should have white and be a dark green or brown. It should be accompanied by a small amout of urine surrounding the urates (white part). The stool (green/brown part) should be coily and will reflect what he eats. bird seed diets reflect dark green while pellet diets will reflect the color of the pellets.
The time to worry is if the droppings are runny. Or they are a bright green or black. Yellow or green stained urates are also an indicator of illness. The urates should always be white and chalky when dry. Pale or foamy droppings or a consistant change in the amount should be a concern.
What you are describing sounds perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry about it.

Is to much iced black peach tea bad for you?
I make a pitcher of hot water put 4 stash peach black tea bags in it and set in the refridgerator i drink it without sugar but i drink 2-4 tall glasses of it a day is it bad for you?

tea with extra lemon and sweetner. I don't know if there's any
connection, but I've been having urinary tract problems for
awhile now. And tho they've been cleared up, there is still
a problem that lingers. I have a problem with being dehydrated, and was in the hospital for it. I am going to start drinking more ice water and see if there will be any changes. They say you should drink alot of water daily, to flush out your kidneys to make them work correctly. So even tho the effects of drinking tea helps in many ways to ward off this and that, too much of a good thing, isn't always as good for you, as you may think.
