Looking for a funny TV Commercial with a peach and pork loin - cartoon type?

I saw a TV commercial while in Anchorage AK last Tuesday night. A cartoon type peach %26amp; pork loin are in love %26amp; end up jumping into the fire when 'chicken breast' comes in to get peach. Sounds crazy, but it was funny. Anyone know of it?

Peach Cobbler


This recipe was given to me many years ago by Mrs. Orin Stevens of Fargo, ND. She told me she'd gotten it from a church cookbook. I've used fresh, frozen and canned peaches with equal success.


3 cups peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced


1 1/2 cups sugar, divided


1 cup flour


1 teaspoon baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt


1/2 cup margarine


1/2 teaspoon vanilla


1/2 cup milk


1/2 cup water


6-8 servings





1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan and line with peaches.


2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, margarine, vanilla and milk.


3. Stir till smooth.


4. Pour over peaches.


5. Combine 1 cup sugar and water.


6. Pour over batter.


7. Bake 1 hour at 350°F.


8. Serve warm or room temperature.

1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1 cup peach nectar 1/4 cup pineapple juice or peach juice (from canned peaches) 2 16-oz cans peaches, sliced, packed in juice, drained [or 1 3/4 lbs fresh peaches, sliced] 1 Tbsp margarine (tub), melted nonstick cooking oil spray 1 cup pancake mix 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar


2/3 cup evaporated skim milk


Topping:








1/2 tsp nutmeg


1 Tbsp brown sugar


Directions:





Combine cinnamon, vanilla, cornstarch, peach nectar, and pineapple or peach juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add sliced peaches to mixture. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Lightly spray an 8-inch square glass dish with cooking oil spray. Pour hot peach mixture into the dish. In another bowl, combine pancake mix, flour, sugar, and melted margarine. Stir in milk. Quickly spoon this mixture over the peach mixture. Combine nutmeg and brown sugar. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.


Cool and cut into 8 squares.

2 cups Self-rising Flour


2 cups Milk


1 1/2 sticks Butter/Margarine





Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt margarine in oven proof baking dish. Combine sugar, flour, and milk . Pour into butter. Then pour peaches and juice into the baking dish. Do not stir. Bake till golden brown and bubbly. Great with vanilla ice cream!

1/2 c.chopped pecans,toasted

Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended.Gradually add half %26amp; half,eggs,and vanilla:mix well.In large mixing bowl, combine crumbs,chips,pecans, and coconut.Stir in cream cheese mixture and peaches:mix well.

I have a peach face bird called Snowy an Mum thinks his very old. He or she has trouble breathing and starts shaken and always sits on the bottom of the cage. His in a separte cage from his mates. I was woundering if anyone can help me.

I'm very sorry for this, but you have to keep one thing in mind.


Birds DO NOT sit at the bottom of the cage unless they are dying.


I had a cockatiel, 1 year ago, he was very sick, and there was a day which he could not finally stand on a perch, he sat at the bottom of the cage to die slowly.(I love you Magic, R.I.P) He was almost 1 year old, I miss him badly.


Back to your bird, if you care for him, take him to a vet. It's not normal, and to be honest, I'm sorry but he sounds like his dying. It does brake my heart too just to hear a bird is suffering.

Good, Snowy, is in a separate cage. When birds are ill they get very cold. If you have an electric heating pad, place it underneath the cage on low, and cover the cage with a light towel..don't completely cover the cage just enough for some privacy. Keep food and water available.





You can take to a vet, or perhaps they could recommend a good antibiotic.

Reply:Obviously the bird needs to go to the Avian Vet (YES it does need to be an AVIAN Vet, because a non Avian Vet will not necessarily have the specialized knowledge that is needed! ). I shall therefore assume that there is a problem with getting the bird to a Vet, and go from there.





Give the bird a source of heat. An electric heating pad placed outside the bars at one side of the cage should do quite well. The bird will sit close to it if he needs more heat, or farther from it if he does not need the heat.


Go to a local farm supply store and get some Terramycin or Aureomycin tetracycline antibiotic. It will only cost about $5. This antibiotic treats respiratory problems. Mix one teaspoon of the powder into one gallon of water, and give it to the bird as his drinking water.


Give him some high energy food such as sunflower seeds. This will give him more energy to fight the illness. Just remember that this is not good as a steady diet.


While you are at the farm supply store, see if they have any free pamphlets on poultry care. Many farm supply stores carry these. It could give you some helpful tips.

NEVER give you bird vitamins except on the advice on a qualified vet. Extra vitamins can build up to toxic levels in your bird. You could kill it.

How can you tell a peach-faced female lovebird from a male?

I just recently got a lovebird from a bird rescue shelter and they had no information on this bird. I have no idea how old it is or if it is a male or female. It is olive green with a black tail. The face is a lighter green. With peach on the top of the forehead. The colors are very dull. I am ausming it is female because I know males are very bright in color.

How can you tell a peach-faced female lovebird from a male?
I know that young Peach-faced lovebirds have a darker colouration under their nose on their beaks that fades as they get older. It is true that most lovebird species have no apparent differences between the sexes, not like budgies!





The old pelvic bone test only works if you are experienced in it or you have another bird of the other sex to compare it to. The females have a wider spaced pelvic bone so the eggs can come out easier. The female can be slightly larger or the legs a little more widely spaced than the male because of the larger hips. Again you need another bird of the opposite sex to compare.





I suggest that if you want a breeding pair to just get another one and check out their behaviour. Two males usually won't go into the next except maybe to sleep, some will make a small attempt at nest building. Don't expect any eggs, no eggs after a few weeks in the nest box and it it would be safe to say you have two males. Two females will be more likely to build a nest, but if they do, they will probably start laying eggs, but they won't hatch without a male to fertilise them. You'll probably get a lot more eggs faster than you would with only one female.





Having said this, you might have a dud bird that can't breed and maybe it needs to go see an IVF doctor :)





If you just want to keep it as a pet, I wouldn't worry about what sex it is - it doesn't make much difference in taming it. The age of the bird might though as it is always easier to train younger animals, birds, humans, etc. than older ones. Although it is possible to train an older one. It'll just take a bit longer and some patience.

This is the Veterinary Diagnostic Center and for around 20 dollars can run a DNA test. They will sell you a kit with instructions,are courteous, and fast. I got my results in 5 business days and they even e-mailed the results besides mailing a certificate. May you and your bird have a mutually beneficial relationship. Have a tweet year.
Reply:The females and males of lovebirds are visually the same. You can't tell by looking, and truthfully the birds can't always tell either. Often two females kept together will go through all the motions of breeding and nesting despite their same sex relationship. Sometimes you can guess the sex by feeling the pelvic bones, but this is not a guaranteed technique and you would have to know what you are looking for.





I used to raise handfed lovebirds, and I had a joke that you could tell adult handfed lovebird sexes this way: put your hand in the cage. If the bird lands on your hand it is a boy. If it lands on your hand and bites the you-know-what out of it, then it is a girl.





The reason for this joke was that the female lovebird, in my experience, always took a nasty bitey turn once their hormones kicked in and they started thinking about mating. In fact, if you try to have a breeding colony of lovebirds it is usually recommended that you have at least three true pairs. DO NOT allow more females than males in your group since often the females will kill each other over a breeding male.





If you don't have ideas of breeding your single lovebird, though, you should not worry if it is male or female. You won't be able to see a lot of difference between the sexes as far as pet bird behavior goes. Just spend a lot of time socializing the bird and it will be a good companion. Get it a "friend" and it will give 99.9% of its attention to the other lovebird and any attempts to get it to love you will be rebuffed.

Reply:I'm not really sure but the other day i saw a movie called "The colour of love" about a white woman living in Georgia whose daughter died and left her with her black grandaughter. Anyway, this woman was in a club called the "Georgia Peaches", which consisted of some other wealthy, high society women whose cause was to help in charities and drink teas in the gardens of their expensive houses.
